Dunfermline Athletic Surreal encounter

-

Dunfermline returned from the ‘Bairn And Boo’ stadium with all three points, though the match had been surreal. Falkirk were so ordinary it was akin to watching a tribute band. There was no lack of atmosphere: the gate being bigger than half the Premiership, but the Pars’ 18 shots to Falkirk’s three told its own story. It was as overhyped as Doctor Who, with the only noise from the home end being the boos reserved for three former Bairns now with a bigger club.

Like Strictly Come Dancing, October sees the deadwood pruned. Next up the Diddy Cup, which we view with the same disdain as Nigel Farage reserves for a continental breakfast. With Tom Beadling fit, he can waltz back into contention. Fab-u-lous!
