Queen of the South One-man show
No team at any level of the game will go through a season without having an off-day, and I suppose it is to the team’s credit that it has taken until October for us to have ours. But as off-days go, the display against Alloa was up there!
The tone was set almost from kick-off with slack passing and a lethargic attitude. Credit to Alloa who took full advantage with three quickfire goals in the first half. They can feel very hard done by to have only picked up a point. I’d like to say it was down to the strength of character in our team, or tactical genius of the manager, but it was a one-man show as Stephen Dobbie dragged us back into it with an exceptional hattrick from positions that wouldn’t even rank as half-chances. The man is simply extraordinary.
