Purchase of Jordanhill site sealed by housebuilder

The housebuilder looking to create more than 400 highend homes at the former Jordanhill campus in Glasgow has completed the purchase of the site.
Cala Homes (West), part of the Cala Group, is to invest almost £100 million in redeveloping the 31-acre site, which is to be known as Jordanhill Park. It was formerly owned by the University of Strathclyde, which vacated the site in 2012.
They will range from onebedroomflatstodetachedfive
bedroom family homes, creating more than 200 new jobs for Glasgow and boosting the economy by more than £5m.
The first apartments, at Southbrae Drive, are set to be completed and on the market by the start of 2020.
