#PIERSMORGAN

When Piers Morgan mocked Daniel Craig for carrying his child on his chest, calling it an emasculating look, other parents begged to differ by sharing photos of their babies in carriers.

@avishaiw replied: “Piers Morgan comes out in strong opposition towards… (checks notes) parents caring for their children.”

@jodyvance added: “Dads who step up during the tough early months, where babies typically “need” mom, are the real #Heroes.”

@kateirby commented: “Imagine believing carrying your own baby in public is emasculating.”

To which Piers Morgan responded: “He’s not carrying it, that’s my point. He’s using an emasculating papoose. James Bond would never use a papoose to carry his babies.”

@Chrisevans said: “You really have to be so uncertain of your own masculinity to concern yourself with how another man carries his child. Any man who wastes time quantifying masculinity is terrified on the inside.”

@Stigabell wrote: “I wear one for my 13-week-old baby; and I am a big, hairy male. You seem nervous about masculinity for some unknown reason.” @Nicole_cliffe posted: “i’m not engaging with Piers Morgan but imagine being so insecure that you think a man carrying his own child in public is being emasculated.”

#JOHNBERCOW

Pressure is mounting on Commons Speaker John Bercow to quit after a damning bullying probe.

@christopherhope replied: “This is all a bit odd. Why not announce this from the chair of the House of Commons when he made his statement at 2pm?”

@janemerrick23 commented: “It’s a classic deflection device, used by many politicians when under personal pressure, to set up an independent inquiry. John Bercow already did that when the bullying allegations erupted in March! Victims of bullying and harassment in Westminster need action now.”

@Beilbyj tweeted: “Sad news, he was a great Speaker with a nice sense of humour too. Good luck John.”

@slimtimcann said: “Should go now. Or be removed.”

@Socialistdawn said: “There is literally no one else who can be trusted as Speaker during the Brexit disaster. I can see why Brexit fanatics want rid of him.”
