His Excellency Dr Peter Wittig was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecesso­r and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Federal Republic of Germany to the Court of St. James’s.mrs. Huberta von Vosswittig was also received.

His Excellency Mr. Eliam Tangirongo was received by The Queen this afternoon upon his appointmen­t as High Commission­er for Solomon Islands in London.

Her Honour Janet Austin was received in audience by The Queen upon her appointmen­t as Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia. The Queen was represente­d by the Earl of Airlie KT (Chancellor of the Order of the Thistle) at the Service of Thanksgivi­ng for the Life of the Lord Sutherland of Houndwood KT held in St. Margaret’s Church, Westminste­r Abbey, London, today. The Duke of Edinburgh was represente­d by Ms. Sarah Smith. The Princess Royal was represente­d by the Lord Mackay of Clashfern KT.

The Duke of York this afternoon opened Anglo Gulf Trade Bank, Al Maqam Tower, Abu Dhabi Global Market Square, Al Maryah Island, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The Earl of Wessex, Patron, the Orpheus Centre Trust, this evening held a Reception.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Blind Veterans UK, this morning visited Manchester Piccadilly Railway Station and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Blind Veterans UK, subsequent­ly attended a Reception at the Great Hall, Sackville Street, Manchester. CLARENCE HOUSE

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation, this morning visited Royal Lochnagar Distillery, Ballater, and was received by the Marquess of Aberdeen (Deputy Lieutenant of Aberdeensh­ire). His Royal Highness this evening visited the Royal Guard, Victoria Barracks, Ballater.

The Duchess of Rothesay this morning opened the British Airways Lounge at Aberdeen Internatio­nal Airport, Dyce, and was received by Mr. Andrew Lawtie (Vice Lordlieute­nant of the City of Aberdeen). The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended the Man Booker Prize for Fiction Annual Award Ceremony and Dinner at Guildhall, London EC2, on the occasion of its Fiftieth Anniversar­y. The Duke of Cambridge this morning held a Reception at Buckingham Palace to recognise the contributi­on made by British divers involved in the Tham Luang cave rescue in Thailand in June and July 2018. His Royal Highness this evening attended the World Première of Peter Jackson’s First World War Film “They Shall not Grow Old” at the British Film Institute Southbank, Belvedere Road, London SE1, and was received by Mr. Rupert Goodman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duchess of Cambridge this morning held a Meeting of experts convened by the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to inform Her Royal Highness’s charitable “Early Years” initiative.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex this morning attended a Welcome Ceremony at Admiralty House, Sydney, New South Wales, were received by the Governor-general of the Commonweal­th of Australia (General the Hon. Sir Peter Cosgrove) and Lady Cosgrove, and subsequent­ly undertook engagement­s in Sydney.

Their Royal Highnesses called upon the Governor-general of the Commonweal­th of Australia and Lady Cosgrove at Admiralty House. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex afterwards opened Taronga Institute of Science and Learning at Taronga Zoo Sydney.

Their Royal Highnesses later viewed a rehearsal of the Bangarra Dance Theatre Company at Sydney Opera House and were received by the Premier of New South Wales (the Hon. Gladys Berejiklia­n MP).

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex this afternoon attended a Reception given by the Governor-general of the Commonweal­th of Australia and Lady Cosgrove at Admiralty House.
