Protesters are in London calling for a referendum on the final Brexit deal. Meanwhile, former Ukip leader Nigel Farage is leading a pro-brexit rally in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Comic @davidschneider, who attended with Chris Addison and Armando Iannuci, joked: “It’s alright, Britain! The metropolitan elite have arrived. #peoplesvotemarch #peoplesvote #luvvies @ mrchrisaddison @Aiannucci”
@Petertatchell posted: “I’m marching today for a #Peoplesvote on #Brexit deal. Join us! Take back control. Let the people decide! Thanks to EU we have clean beaches, no roaming charges, visafree travel in 27 countries, consumer protection.” Actor Hugh Grant @ Hackedoffhugh tweeted: “Very sorry not to be in UK for #Peoplesvotemarch. Will march by myself alone around French village.”
@peoplesvote__uk said: “People are angry that we had the people’s march on London. It was a pragmatic decision, London is the only city/area of the UK that has had investment in infrastructure sufficient to cope with 400k+ people #Peoplesvotemarch.” @alanwillis77 said: “If the Remainers get a Peoples Vote and the pro-brexit peeps don’t like it, will we end up with march after march until we forget what we are marching for?” @Davided97084868 messaged Jeremy Corbyn: “Just in case you missed it, there was a Peoples Vote March in London yesterday. About time you and the Labour party got behind this. #Peoplesvotemarch.”

Sir Billy Connolly has said he may be ready to support Scottish independence over Brexit, despite his long-held aversion to nationalism.
@thomaspotter021 wrote: “Lost all respect for Billy Connolly when he came out for No in 2014. Canny shake it off. Think people like him cost us independence.”
@Thomash27923459 said: “From what I know about BC’S medical condition, I don’t think that he’s the right man to be asking about complex political issue. We all loved him back in the day but it’s time to leave the guy alone.”
To which @racporto replied: “Parkinson affects movement, not cognition. He was not asked, this is published in his new book and, to me, it sounds pretty coherent, and progressive.”
