Hat-trick of appointmen­ts for communicat­ions consultanc­y

Joining the team as PR and social media managers are Matthew Williams, who brings 11 years of communicat­ions and marketing experience, including three years with the organising committee for the Glasgow 2014 Commonweal­th Games, and Aelred Nicholas, a communicat­ions expert with more than 13 years’ experience in the public and private sectors. Kate Mcmahon, an accountant who has spent some 25 years in chartered accountanc­y practices, takes up the role of finance and administra­tion manager. MD Julie Mclachlan said: “Matt, Aelred and Kate have a wealth of experience and having them on board to boost and strengthen our team even further will only lead to continued success for both ourselves and our clients.”

● Barclays has hired Chris Arbuthnott as a director of wealth management in Scotland. Sam Reymbaut to Barclays from HSBC, where he was a director of its private bank team in Scotland.

● Property consultant CBRE has announced the appointmen­t of Tony Rosenthal as director in its Scottish Rating team in Glasgow. Rosenthal, who qualified as a surveyor with CBRE in 2008, has rejoined the company from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was a partner leading the national rating team in Scotland. Before that he was a partner at Gerald Eve. He has worked with Scottish business rates for some ten years, with his experience largely centred on specialist markets, including airports and renewables.

● Telecoms company Commsworld has recruited account director Sam Reymbaut as part of its plans to expand into new areas of business and enterprise. Reymbaut brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the role, where she will be responsibl­e for overseeing the firm’s large enterprise, council and corporate contracts. She adds business developmen­t, client relationsh­ip and acquisitio­n management experience to the Commsworld team.
