Many people on Twitter reacted to the news that a Ryanair passenger who launched a racist tirade may “get away with it” due to the airline wanting to get the plane off the ground. Ryanair sparked outrage after apparently failing to remove the man, with Labour MP for East Hull Karl Turner saying the airline “failed spectacularly”.
SNP MP @joannaccherry wrote: “This nasty little scene is the end result of what happens when your government sets out to create a #Hostileenvironment. Kudos to those who intervened. Shame on those who didn’t and on @Ryanair.”
@dylanvadamootoo said: “What a disgraceful response. #Boycottryanair” And MP Diane Abbott
@Hackneyabbott added: “Surely Ryanair should be contacting this woman and apologising for the racist abuse she suffered?”
@Chukaumunna tweeted: “Only just seen this. Absolutely appalling. Why on earth wasn’t this man removed from the plane?”
