Anewly designed range of properties is on offer for the first time at two developments in the West of Scotland at East Dunbartonshire and Renfrewshire.

Cala Homes (West) recently introduced its latest house types from the company’s Light and Space collection by opening the doors of a showhome at its Fin Glen development in Milton of Campsie and launching a bespoke development at Ranfurly Green, Bridge of Weir.

The home layouts, as their design name would suggest, have prioritised an abundance of natural light, one of the most desirable features in a property, alongside the modern trend for open-plan living.

Comprising 43 detached four and five-bedroomed detached homes, Fin Glen, located off Milton of Campsie’s Birdston Road, offers semi-rural living close to schools and amenities.

On offer are large family homes, ranging from 1,439sq ft through to 2,278sq ft and with a choice of eight different house types. The collection has been designed to allow every room to be bathed in natural light with warm LED lights to complement each space when the sun goes down.

Each room is designed with high ceilings, and the spacious kitchen and family room has connecting bi-fold doors to a generous sized patio and garden to open up the room to fresh air.

Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director for Cala Homes (West), says: “We are delighted to unwrap our stunning showhome at Fin Glen and unveil the Light and Space collection for the very first time in the west.”

The five-bedroomed Logan showhome showcases tactile upholsteries and opulent wallpapers. Designed by Alison Harding of AMW Designs in Glasgow, the interior conveys a modern and contemporary feel, accented by soft colour palettes, textures and prints, creating a cosy and inviting home.

Harding explains: “We mixed metallic and geometric shapes to set the tone.

“Rose golds mixed with bronze and brass, subtly layered with glass and marble surfaces were used to create a modern, vibrant and fresh feel throughout the home.”

Milton of Campsie is situated ten miles north of Glasgow at the foot of the Campsie Fells.

In addition, a Light and Space range of homes is being launched today at Ranfurly Green, Bridge of Weir.

The development features a dozen detached properties, including seven bespoke split-level units designed specifically for the site beside Old Course Ranfurly Golf Club.

The four and five-bedroomed homes range in size up to 2,812sq ft. While there is no showhome at this early stage, a scaled model of the development has been produced to allow buyers to envisage the site and select a plot.

Canavan says: “This development has generated a lot of interest amongst potential purchasers.

“With seven specially designed split-level homes being created, which are unique to this site, homebuyers have the opportunity of purchasing a home that cannot be seen anywhere else.”

Bridge of Weir is popular with commuters, being just a half an hour drive from Glasgow.

The first homes at Ranfurly Green will be released by Corum Property estate agents, located on Bridge of Weir’s Main Street.

Prices at Fin Glen in Milton of Campsie start from £419,000 for the five-bedroomed Darroch housetype.
