#DAVIDMUNDELL

In his first interview since reading the full draft withdrawal agreement on Tuesday night, David Mundell has given a strong defence of his decision to stay in the Cabinet – and dismissed ex-brexit Secretary Dominic Raab as a ‘carpetbagger’. The Scottish Secretary came under fresh pressure to resign after Mr Raab quit yesterday over Theresa May’s draft withdrawal agreement, warning it would damage the Union.

@Angusrobertson commented: “Both Ruth Davidson and David Mundell said they wouldn’t support Brexit deal if integrity of UK under threat. Dominic Raab and Esther Mcvey have just resigned saying that it is. Will Scottish Tories now resign?”

@speirag tweeted: “David Mundell. Are you a man of your word ? Have some self respect even if you have none for Scotland.”

@paulsplinux added: “Oh dear. Wrong side again.”

@glasgowswestend wrote: “Nicola Sturgeon knows what country she is working for. Have a word with David Mundell, he’s not too sure.”

@Indyreftwo posted: “BREAKING: David Mundell has resigned from his resignation threat. ‘I cannot in all faith support my resignation. I have today written to the Prime Minister informing her of my decision to stand down from my position of threatening to resign.’”

#STORMZY

Grime artist Stormzy looks set to be the first headliner of Glastonbury festival 2019. The news was broken via a Glastonbury Free Press poster, which was displayed in a Oxfam shop in Streatham in London.

@Clint44b posted: “At last a headliner to match the weather.”

@Missstarlucy wrote: “Congratulations long over due... can’t believe it’s took this long for a British rapper to headline Glastonbury.”

@ADAMKDJ joked: “Not having time to read the tweets, I can only deduce that #Stormzy is going for the #Brexitsecretary job? #Amirite.”

@Pulse88radio reported: “#pulse88news posters in Oxfam stores seem to confirm that @stormzy will be headlining @glastofest next year! He will be the first British rapper to do so, and the second rapper ever (second to Jay Z).”

@Checkurchakras said: “Good luck to him .... but it seems it’s caused a #Stormzy in a tea cup.”
