Brexit Secretary Dominic Raab and Work and Pensions minister Esther Mcvey resigned in protest at the draft deal.

As a Brexiteer I, too, am disappointed with Mrs May’s capitulation. We had all the big cards but as a good Christian she doesn’t play poker. A square peg in a round hole. Tragic – but she was a Remainer at heart.

Andy Mac Big cards? Well, you had a big bus. With an even bigger lie on it.

He was appointed to make the deal happen, helps to cause this chaos, then walks away. And he is a Brexiteer. What a mess Brexit is.

Infamous clarity

The first of many, no doubt, but was it not he, in his position of Brexit Secretary, who negotiated the “deal”?

John Smith

The guy supposedly in charge of negotiating the deal resigns after the deal is announced. You really coudn’t make this up. If he didn’t know what was going on, why did he stay in office before this?

Cagey Breaking News: Theresa May has succeeded in negotiating paying full price on a sofa from DFS.

Well done Dominic – a truly honourable parliamentarian. No-one resigns at Holyrood. They just sit in chairs there and shovel up the cash with both greedy hands.

The corporations will win. They always do. At least now we can finally dispense with the pretence that we live in a democracy, run by us, for our benefit.

Hugh_oxford I don’t get the SNP stance on this deal. They demanded a soft Brexit. This is a soft Brexit. They demanded remaining in the customs union. This deal keeps us in the customs union. They demanded that we part of the EU law for human rights. That is part of the deal. They demanded a solution for the Irish border. There is a solution. Much of the daily grievances from the SNP over the past two years have been met in this deal. Yet they still moan and whine.
