Her Excellency Mrs. Angela Ponomariov was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Moldova to the Court of St. James’s. His Excellency Mr. Juan Carlos Gamarra Skeels was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Peru to the Court of St. James’s.
Désirée, Prinzessin von Preussen was also received by Her Majesty. Sir Simon Mcdonald (Permanent Under-secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present. Lieutenant General Mark Carleton-smith was received by The Queen this afternoon upon his appointment as Chief of the General Staff.
CLARENCE HOUSE
The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Almshouse Association, this morning visited Thomas Parsons’ Charity (formerly the Governors of the Lands and Possessions of the Poor of the City or Town of Ely), Thomas Parsons Square, Ely, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mrs. Julie Spence). His Royal Highness, Patron, afterwards visited the Stained Glass Museum, Ely Cathedral.
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Ely Market, Market Place, Ely.
