#DONALDTUSK

European Council president Donald Tusk has said there will be “a special place in hell” for those who promoted Brexit without any plan for how to deliver it safely.

@Nigel_farage tweeted: “After Brexit we will be free of unelected, arrogant bullies like you and run our own country. Sounds more like heaven to me.”

@alanferrier noted: “Donald Tusk is a carpenter’s son from Poland. He grew up with gun battles on his street, ran with anticommunist gangs, was imprisoned by the Soviets and helped win Poland’s autonomy. He has precisely zero f***s to give about Brexiteer Tories accusing him of ‘lacking manners’.”

@Juliahb1 countered: “It’s probably nicer than the special place in Hell reserved for overpaid Brussels bureaucrats who think voters shouldn’t get to decide how their own country is run, Donald.”

#DONALDTRUMP

Donald Trump is expected to return to the UK in December for a Nato summit, it has been announced. @benlewismedia predicted: “Baby Trump Blimp likely to make 2nd appearance in London, I suspect.” @petermbenglish added: “That’s if he’s not incarcerated before then, of course.”

@scottdiavolo posted: “On the plus side, the UK will be a burnt-out wasteland by the time December comes, not worth the preparations.”

#CLIMATECHANGE

Owing to climate change, the surface of the oceans will change colour from its distinctive blue by the end of the 21st century, leading Earth to look visibly altered, a new study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology has found.

@eet_foundation warned: “In the next century, satellites will watch as the ocean’s blues and greens intensify. By 2100, the ocean as we know it is likely to change colour.”

@Sensanders claimed: “The number 1 cause of #climatechange is animal agriculture. Please wake up and start to speed the truth, we need to end killing animals for food or there will be no more planet or ocean.”

@Ragingfem welcomed: “Good to hear the words ‘Climate Change’ are being said in our government again. Now, Ladies and Gents, hold the line on the crazy guy in the White House!”
