The Prime Minister has told the Commons that Article 50, the process which would see the UK leave the European Union, could be extended. Leave voters were not very happy.
@Leaveeuofficial wrote: “@Jacob_rees_mogg to his Remain colleagues: ‘If [our EU exit date] is being delayed as a plot to stop Brexit altogether, I think that would be the most grievous error politicians could commit. It would be overthrowing a referendum result and would undermine our democracy’.”
@admin03259639 added: “An Absolute Disgrace, The PM knows that the 1st vote will fail monumentally, and that an extension of article 50 is what remoaners are after, more delay, Sneaky underhanded remainer MPS again doing their best to stop Brexit, They will pay for this flaunting of the Vote.”
@Babersis stated angrily: “@theresa_may You sabotaged the majority vote of your country by agreeing to delay Brexit. You’re mascarading as a supporter of democracy. Where is the next Margaret Thatcher? UK is on life support and needs her!”
The pound rose sharply after the news, @_gistmattaz said: “The pound rises amid Brexit delay speculation – Sterling hits to a 21-month against the euro as markets price in a possible Article 50 extension.”

With Brendan Rodgers reportedly set to agree terms to leave Celtic to take the reins at Leicester, Neil Lennon is set to replace him on an interim basis until the end of the season.
@Celtsarehere wrote: “I’m oddly calm over Neil Lennon coming in to steady the ship. Can’t think of a better interim option. Has a great rapport with the Celtic captain, knows a lot of the lads at the club.”
@Eifsoccer replied: “Can you really blame Brendan Rodgers? Leicester have a really great squad. Despite his poor results, Puel worked hard to instill a philosophy. Rodgers sees this as a chance to make some adjustments and bring out the best in a side that should realistically be 7th in the PL.”
@sconnelly1888 added: “Brendan Rodgers in 2016 when becoming Celtic manager: ‘I don’t see it as a stepping stone. For me, I’m living the dream being the manager of Celtic.’ – Judas Rodgers”
