#APPLE

Apple is entering the battle of the streaming services with the launch of Apple TV+ and hopes to take on dominant forces such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The global tech giant is also launching its own credit card and a news service.

@ajt76 pointed out: “You know you’ve gotten too old when you’re more excited about a new credit card than a mobile gaming subscription. But seriously, no international fees? Extra security? Hello new workrelated travel expenses card.”

@liz810 exclaimed: “Steven Spielberg, Tim Cook, Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell, Captain America AND Captain Marvel. Imagine the collective net-worth. All that money in one room used as leverage to announce 4 ways they’re offering us to make them more $.”

@Zemire3 joked: “What? No new iphones, ipads, Macs, self-driving cars, flying cars or watches? What?”

#BREXIT

Parliament has voted to “take control” of the Brexit process by holding a series of “indicative votes”. The House of Commons will now vote on various Brexit options in an attempt to find a consensus among MPS. @simoncrossley pondered: “Is it reasonable to argue that if MPS vote for a way out of the Brexit debacle tomorrow, that that is the final rejection of May’s proposal and she resigns?” @Doozy_45 posted: “I don’t think ppl who were influenced by one of the most dishonest campaigns in democratic history, voted for economic disaster.”

#SPEEDBOATKILLER

Jack Shepherd will return to the UK to begin serving his prison sentence after a judge ruled he must be extradited from Georgia. He has been found guilty of the manslaughter of Charlotte Brown, who was killed in a boat crash on the River Thames.

@ROBB_W1 posted: “#Jackshepherd is something else. Goes on run to avoid much deserved prison sentence. Tracked down to Georgia. Demands to serve sentence there until realises much rougher deal in a Georgia prison when you drop your soap in shower & now stipulating conditions of his UK imprisonment.” @Tedbirkett1 added: “I hope the solicitor who got the 92k to appeal the sentence gets the job to appeal #davidbeckham’s driving.”
