The SNP have hit out at Theresa May’s plan for an extension to the Article 50 process until June 30, accusing the Prime Minister of kicking the can down the road.

@Scotforliberty added: “Nicola Sturgeon, again, for the third time in two days . . . saying how she needs a long extension to Brexit that would allow the UK to “take part” in the EU elections. This is so they can vote block a mob of SNP MEPS into the EU to wail “see, Scotland is 100% Remain” watch . . .”

@ruthie_whyte replied: ”The difference between Nicola Sturgeon & Theresa May’s attitudes to EU residents, immigrants & people in general is as stark as the difference between day & night. I know who does & who does not represent me!”

@billbrowning51 said: “Sturgeon is one of very few leaders who has emerged from Brexit with credibility.”

@alantwentyseven
