# BREXIT

In a letter to Prime Minister Theresa May, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said Brexit compromise talks with the government have “gone as far as they can”, citing the “increasing weakness and instability” of the government.

@ Nigel_ Farage piped up: As @ jeremycorbyn withdraws from the talks, Labour is now almost entirely a second referendum party. Worse still, it wants a ‘ confirmatory vote’ that would not put a genuine Leave option on the ballot paper.”

@ Adamddickinson posted: “Good to see, when we need our politicians to pull out all the stops and deliver # Brexit that @ jeremycorbyn still finds time to play party politics in his unending selfish ambition to be PM at any cost.”

@ Peeweeburns added: “Pls don’t let Brexit mean Britain is forced into bad trade deals with @ realdonaldtrump. We know he has his eye on NHS & our food standards. Keeping a close trading relationship with the EU through customs union or single market would help.”

@ juliefair said: “... and people want us to back Labour. I feel so sorry for the remainers in Labour, they must be tearing their hair out, he is digging holes for them to fall in at every opportunity.”

@ ivanjblair tweeted: “Until @ Uklabour leadership renounces Leave they won’t win back the voters who switched to Libdem or Green.”

# NIGELFARAGE

Anti- racism campaigners were set to stage a demonstration against Nigel Farage when he spoke in Edinburgh tonight.

@ Ian_ Fraser said: “The last time Nigel Farage came to Edinburgh, he ended up barricaded inside a pub.”

@ rosswatson57 stated: “He pushed his luck in Scotland last time, this time it will be an even bigger response. We don’t want him, Trump or Tommy Robinson in Scotland.”

@ Soulsisterjen wrote: “I hate the way Scotland is spoken about as if it’s one entity, where they all think the same way and follow the SNP line. That’s just not true. Over a million Scots voted to leave the EU and their votes were significant in getting Leave over the line. Who is speaking for them?”

@ kevin_ guyan replied: “With Nigel Farage in # Edinburgh today to spew his message of hate, a reminder to all immigrants who call Scotland home: You are welcome here.”
