Hard to swallow?

Three miles might not seem far but if you’re 11 years old its going to take 45 minutes to an hour to do that kind of distance. As for taking a bike, what if you can’t ride/afford a bike. Who wants to do a three-mile walk and then start your day at work?

I’m not sure why it should be free. Surely a reasonable charge and keeping the service would be preferable. Plenty of children travel to school in the cities on public transport for the price of a ticket. Had consultation with parents been pursued, perhaps a properly-costed solution would have worked.

Tatties and mince every day with sago pudding or prunes and custard, wee bottles of full-cream milk then out to play British Bulldogs or tig. These are the reasons why there are more centenarians alive in Scotland today than ever before.

Gerry Smith I still haven’t forgiven Jamie Oliver for getting turkey twizzlers taken off the menu!

Chris Cooper-mitchell Arts funding remains a valid expenditure. As for people babbling on that it should pay for itself, or that it’s a party… don’t confuse the corporate behemoth that is the Fringe with the Festival.
