BASEBALL
A grand slam from Anthony Rendon helped push the Washington Nationals to a 6-3 win over the Atlanta Braves. The win saw the Nats close down Atlanta’s lead at the top of the National League East to 4½ games, with Rendon going deep in the sixth. Hosts Washington led 2-0 after the first two innings but the Braves had drawn level by the time the 29-year-old found the fence for the 23rd time this season.
