Space in The Market for sale

-

Aquiet enclave of 14 properties in Midlothian is set to have its official launch today, bringing much needed homes to an emerging commuter hotspot.

The Market, by MNM Developments, is situated just off Bonnyrigg High Street, some six miles south-east of Edinburgh.

The development offers a contemporary take on town-centre living, with a mix of one and twobedroomed apartments amid plenty of green space.

The Market is centred around a landscaped courtyard car park and the surrounding terraced and semidetached homes all benefit from large private gardens.

It follows on from MNM Development’s Edinburgh projects in Marionville in Meadowbank and Jordan Lane in Morningside.

Both developments were shortlisted at the Scottish Home Awards 2019, where MNM was also listed as a finalist for the Housebuilder of the Year title.

All of the properties at The Market have been designed with large windows, open-plan layouts and light-filled rooms.

Styles across the 14 units vary, but features common to all include designer kitchens with built-in appliances, luxury bathrooms, ensuite master bedrooms, generous fitted storage and designated off-street parking for each individual property.

Jo Mclaren of sellers Savills says: “We’re delighted to launch this latest development by MNM. Mid-size, affordable properties in good commuter locations are in huge demand, and it is no surprise that we are already receiving a great deal of interest.

“The Market is an ideal location for anyone who works in the city but who wants to escape at the end of the day.”

Bonnyrigg has a good choice of local shops, cafes and restaurants including supermarkets and Straiton Retail park is nearby.

The town has good amenities, including a pool and gym, nurseries and primary schools and Lasswade High School for secondary schooling.

Good golf courses and the Midlothian Snowsports Centre at Hillend are within a five mile radius, but the development’s transport links to the city will be the chief draw for commuters.

The Market is within two miles of the city bypass, so there is easy access to the centre of Edinburgh, the airport, Glasgow or the motorway network. There are frequent rapid bus connections to and from the city and the centre of the Capital is 20 minutes by train from Eskbank station.

All 14 properties at The Market have been released for sale, with prices ranging from £149,995 to £304,995.

A launch event is being held this evening between 4pm and 7pm at the Paper Mill, West Mill Road, Lasswade. Contact Savills on 0131247 3770 for more details and to learn about virtual viewings.
