Technology chief to enhance IOT developmen­t in Livingston

Jim Darroch is tasked with owning the company’s product vision and road map and expanding the product engineerin­g team to meet growing client demand. He brings a wealth of experience in leading engineerin­g teams and the developmen­t of internet of things (IOT) product strategies, most recently where he was globally accountabl­e for the delivery of an intelligen­t IOT edge ecosystem in Honeywell’s Connected Enterprise organisati­on. Darroch said: “While there is a great deal of synergy with other emerging IOT use cases, subsea IOT presents enough challenges and opportunit­ies to make WFS a fascinatin­g place to work.”

Kirsty Yuill has been made partner and Kirsteen Picken has been promoted to associate. Both have shown “dedication to the firm and unwavering determinat­ion on behalf of their clients”. Yuill, who was appointed by the firm in 2015, has vast experience in insurance litigation with particular emphasis on major/complex loss and emerging risks. Picken joined as a trainee in 2013 and her experience covers areas including public liability, employers’ liability and road traffic claims.

With extensive experience across sectors including housing, education and building conservati­on, Alexander will provide clients with a range of quantity surveying, employer’s agent and project management services.

Macarthur joins the commercial property consultanc­y fromstorno­wayhousing­developer Tighean Innse Gall, where he was tasked with providing a commercial approach to the domestic property business as a senior surveyor.

Paul Genoe will take up the role of commercial director, with Gareth Edwards becoming operations director.
