- By ALAN CAMPBELL

Hibernian captain Joel le Murray, who flew out with her team-mates to Slovenia for three Champions League qualifying games yesterday, hop es to play international football for another two years.

The 32- year-old central defender had no game time at the World Cup – she is an understudy to Scotland cap - tain Rachel Corsie and Arse - nal’s Jen Beattie – but feels she has plenty to offer head coach Shelley Kerr during Euro 2021 qualifying. The finals are in England and the Scots begin their campaign against Cyprus at Easter Road on 30 August.

“I feel I’ve definitely got at least another two-year cycle in me,” Murray said. “Whether Shelley wants to include me is obviously up to her, but I’ll certainly make myself available.”

In Hibs’ first competitive game after their summer break their title hopes ended with a 2-1 loss to Glasgow City on Sunday. They now have three Champions League group games, star ting today against Georgian side FC Nike, followed by Welsh champions Cardiff Met on Saturday and next Tuesday they face group hosts ZNK Pomurje.

“We believe we’ve a chance in the group and will give it everything,” said head coach Grant S cott. “It has been ver y difficult to find a lot of footage for the other sides. We’ve now got some on the Welsh team and snipp ets on the Slovenians, but it’s few and far between.”

Hibs would need to win the group to go through to the last 32 and join Glasgow City, who are exempt from qualifying.
