PEUGEOT’S PRICING FOR 208 AND E-208

Peugeot’s Ford Fiesta-rivalling supermini is due to go on sale in early 2020 in petrol, diesel and pure electric guises.

Pricing for combustion­engined versions will start from £16,250 while the all-electric e-208 will start at £25,050, inclusive of the £3,500 plug-in car grant.

All three powertrain­s will be available in three trims Active, Allure and GT Line – while the e-208 will also come in range-topping GT trim.

All cars get active safety brake with pedestrian detection, electric and heated door mirrors and LED daytime running lights, plus 16-inch alloy wheels (steel for e-208).

Prices for Allure start from £18,850 for the 208 and £26,250 for the e-208. That adds 17-inch diamond-cut alloys (16-inch on e-208), full LED rear lights, leathereff­ect seat trim with double stitch detail and the Peugeot 3D i-cockpit with configurab­le 3D head-up instrument panel.

GT Line models, from £20,700, feature front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera, adaptive LED headlights, eightcolou­r ambient lighting and night function and pedestrian/cyclist detection for the active safety brake.

The all-new e-208 in GT trim is £29,100 and features automated parking assistance, adaptive cruise control, lane positionin­g assist, blind spot monitoring plus Alcantara leather trim, heated front seats, and a larger 10-inch touchscree­n with sat nav.

The 1.2-litre petrol engine in the new 208 comes in 75bhp, 99bhp and 128bhp outputs while there is a single 99bhp 1.5-litre diesel.

The e-208 features a 136bhp electric motor driving the front wheels and paired with a 50kwh battery to offer 211 miles of range.
