Former MSP Tommy Sheridan leapt to the defence of Celtic manager Neil Lennon in a Twitter video after their disastrous Champions League exit to Cluj on Tuesday.

@zippyjr78 wrote: “Why does he need to shout all the time, it really gets on my nerves?”

@Chrisgraham76 added: “He’s clearly raging but grins away between every odd, contrived sentence. I can’t take my eyes off it. Absolutely fantastic.”

@garethawhite tweeted: “Ultimate cringe.”

@Redbulljunkysmc added: “I will not be able to sleep tonight because of that video!”

@Davidson2davy reckoned: “He shouts like a Glaswegian Dalek ... Exterminate.”

@lubohenke67 said: “Oooft a tad over the top...lenny is Celtic manager and went into all this with eyes wide open and knowledge of all people above him. Tuesday night is on him, team selection was idiotic and once again he was moaning over a flat, slow to get at it approach to game. Sort it.”

@Northernger wrote: “Will he be able to swing others to his way of thinking?”
