great deal but negotiations to frame it “would be one of the easiest in history”. Which is why this has to go back to the people. True democracy!

George Kelly Brilliant stuff from Boris and a disaster for the SNP. If they don’t like it, resign. And good riddance.

Remainer MPS bending and twisting parliamentary rules = true democracy Leaver PM following correct parliamentary procedure = all sorts of outrage. Such is what passes for “logic” in the addled brains of these diehard remainers.

Reality Demands To Be Heard

What rules have Remainers bent or twisted? We are not in normal times. Parliament should not have gone on its holidays, nor should it be closed. We need it to operate to solve this problem of whether and how to Brexit. What we now have is an unelected dictator shutting down the focus of sovereignty. It is the opposite of what Brexit was meant to be about.

Splat Z If only Ms Sturgeon hadn’t ordered SNP MPS to vote down the deal agreed with the EU.

Ah’m No Bluffin Ain’t that the truth, the SNP have given Bojo the castiron excuse that the HOC has rejected the EU withdrawal agreement.

Roastin

“First Minister Nicola Sturgeon tweeted: “...today will go down in history as a dark one indeed for UK democracy”.” Says the woman who has failed to respect the result of two referendums! Who is she to comment on “democracy”?!

Happier Bus Traveller Academics, politicians and anti-nuclear campaigners have hit out at the decision to restart one of the country’s oldest nuclear reactors, nearly 18 months after it was shut down to investigate cracks in its graphite core.

So, not one nuclear physicist or engineer amongst them? Does any one of them understand that the graphite sustains the fission chain reaction by “moderating” the extremely high speed of fast neutrons, or do they all think its purpose is to stop the chain reaction running away.

Edmund North So basically the reactor is safe but a group of anti-nuclear individuals with expertise varying from high to zero, and most with a dogmatic aversion to nuclear, want it shut down.

wee scunner Scotland needs the GDP from this nuclear station – screw the risks!

The Answer Scotland can sleep well tonight, secure in the knowledge that Ross Greer is on the case.

Ulcerating Soon A Danish travel website has come in for criticism after it warned would-be visitors to Scotland that some parts of the country are “very anti-english”. The website later said the text was 20 years old and would be removed.

They’re not wrong, though.

Lux (Not Ron) Anglophobic racism is endemic in Scotland and at times subtly coerced by the Nats. If the same was said about any other ethnic or religious group there would be outrage

Starlet Well, I have heard antienglish comments in Dundee/glasgow/edinburgh and also on the West Coast… that’s all since the referendum . Lived here for 20 years and only in the last five years have there been any issues with xenophobic and antienglish comments whatsoever in my time here. It may or may not be a small minority – but it does Scotland no good at all.
