Donald Trump’s inaugural Scottish golf resort in Aberdeenshire remains mired in the red after running up losses of more than £1 million, accounts show. The latest filings mean Trump’s resort has now run up cumulative losses of more than £9.4m. I’m sure Nicola and Derek can come up with some financial wizardry to help out the Pres. They’ve done an “excellent” job in subsidising both the USAF and The Donald down Ayrshire way. Keep up the good work Nic (not).

bingoman2 paterson It’s another real estate project in the making.

The Piper Donald Trump should never have been allowed to destroy such a beautiful part of Scotland.

Dunnomuch The only parts of Drumpf ’s portfolio that ‘make’ money are the licensing agreements for use of his name. Clearly the value of that name is in a slow-burning dumpster fire ... headed to the oblivion of its owner, now facing impeachment on top of a raft of Federal and NY State indictments. And yet there has been permission granted for yet another.

Deborah Thomson Damp squib. Could have told them that before they started; local clubs are closing due to lack of numbers and the kids are not interested these days.

Gordon Linden Take it from an American – get out while you can. This man is a walking disaster.

Andrew Hunt stores can refuse to accept Scottish bank notes.

Subway in Stockport refused my £20 note just a couple of months ago. No big deal, just went next door to Mcdonalds for lunch instead. It is a different country after all.

Handsome Scotsman Strange no mention that cash machines at airports only dispense BOE or Euro notes. Then again only a fool or first tripper would travel with Scottish bank notes!
