Police appeal for information after break-ins

Police are appealing for information following a series of break-ins in Renfrewshire.

Three separate incidents were reported in Linwood, Renfrew and Elderslie on Tuesday.

In one incident, five unidentified men gained entry to a house on Spey Drive in Renfrew around 7:30pm and stole a substantial quantity of jewellery and a mid-four figure sum of cash.

The owners of the property were left extremely shaken by the experience.

The men are described as being white and speaking with Scottish accents.
