Same old…

What is it about Glasgow? One honestly believed the defenestration of Labour after half a century of running Glasgow to ruin would have seen the back of politicians on the make.

But along comes Swede Eva Bolander, the SNP’S first Lord Provost of Glasgow, who since taking over in 2017 has run up an expenses bill on the council tab for £8,000 for such essentials to her job as 23 pairs of shoes! Who does she think she is, Imelda Marcos? Even our Olympics athletic squad don’t manage to go through that many pairs in a year.

Glasgow Labour’s James Kelly sheds crocodile tears over the Provost’s largesse whilst so many are homeless and Glasgow has become the rough sleeping capital of Britain.

No British political party cares any more about anything other than getting their snouts in and as far into the trough as possible.

The comeback of The Who this week could not be better timed, they who sang, ‘the world looks just the same, and history ain’t changed… meet the new boss, looks like the old boss.’
