n Cagey opening three minutes with neither boxer willing to show first hand. The size difference is noticeable but Taylor already appears too eager to dip in rather than control from range. Even proceeding­s to start the contest.

n Prograis looks comfortabl­e in his surroundin­gs despite being the away fighter. Taylor lands a right hook before his opponent counters with some heavy leather. Both start to find success as the duel prepares for lift-off.

n Taylor’s jab is starting to work but a crisp uppercut in return from American Prograis momentaril­y stuns the Tartan Tornado. Taylor lands a lovely left hook on the bell but Prograis’ ring control is exemplary.

n A strong three minutes from Prograis perhaps hands the 30-year-old the early advantage, working the jab with great intensity. Taylor is caught in between styles and something needs to change, and quickly.

n There appears to be a shift in momentum and Prograis’ trainer runs into the ring to complain about a late blow from the Scot following a strong final minute to the round that saw him connect several times with his rival.

n Prograis is starting to show signs of fatigue, albeit the contest remains very close at the halfway point. Taylor starts to find real success with shots to the body and he looks the more confident fighter.

n Taylor is now into his groove and is carving up the American at every opportunit­y. But Prograis is made of strong stuff and responds with a flurry of punches to Taylor’s body. An epic contest is unfolding now.

n Taylor, now sporting a deep gash to his right eye, is clearly struggling to see whatever Prograis has to throw at him. He resorts back to fighting at close quarters to see the round out.

n Taylor starts to dictate proceeding­s again as he goes for the jugular. Prograis is looking to do his best work from the outside but the Scot is just that one step ahead. A big final two rounds await.

n Prograis, aware he could be down on the cards, comes out at 100mph. He appears to have discovered a second wind and has Taylor on the back foot and dishes out some big blows to the Tartan Tornado.

n A quite unbelievab­le round of boxing unfolds as both boxers go at it hammer and tongs in their bid to convince the judges they should be declared the winner. Prograis lands some big shots but Taylor digs deep.
