Aberdeen outfit powers ahead with senior business addition

Blackwood joins the team following its recent expansion in Aberdeen to support its growth in the eastern hemisphere. He was previously regional director for National Oilwell Varco and has more than 20 years’ experience working globally in the oil and gas sector. He joins GSI to support the team in the North Sea and Middle East with its ongoing growth as well as developing new business in other key markets. Blackwood said: “The opportunit­ies for the business both in the North Sea and globally are huge. My experience of working in the global oil and gas markets will bring extra knowledge to the fantastic team in Aberdeen as well as the wider US business, too.”

Originally from Australia, Martin has held various positions at some of the biggest firms in the country such as National Australia Bank, BNP Paribas and Westpac. Before joining Assetz, Lucie held the position of head of originatio­n for Scotland and north-east England for Allied Irish Bank. She has also worked for CYBG and TSB Bank in various credit risk roles. In her new role at Assetz Capital, Martin will be responsibl­e for deal originatio­n in Scotland with a particular focus on lending in the care home sector.

Morton joins from Investec Wealth & Investment where she has worked since 2011, most recently as business developmen­t director. As part of Tilney’s “dual expert” approach, she will work alongside the firm’s investment managers to provide an integrated wealth management service to enable clients to organise their financial affairs and have an investment strategy tailored to their objectives.

Lewis joins the Glasgow-based firm frombarcla­yswealth,wherehewas a private banker for the previous nine years. Before that, he spent six years as an investment advisor with Speirs & Jeffrey.
