#JEREMYCORBYN

Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn apologised to Labour supporters at the weekend after facing a crushing defeat in the General Election and said he “takes full responsibility” for the outcome.

@Smithy1974uk tweeted: “Jeremy Corbyn ‘apologises for Labour’s crushing election defeat’. There’s no need to apologise Jeremy... There really isn’t!”

@Gonzolecture felt: “Not really the apology anybody deserves – this guy has sabotaged UK politics for the last 3 years – Weak. Clay. Activist, not a leader. “

@Tadhgh_lane added: “Then please leave and allow a candidate that can unite the Labour Party and build back the trust of the disenfranchised labour voters. Don’t just appoint one of your sycophants!”

@Cevikorkun1975 felt even more strongly: “Your apologies don’t give back this election... what a mess you created... you are selfish person!”

A more restrained @ Paulgal63075990 observed: “I do actually feel sorry for you – you seem like an OK bloke but you put your own far left ideas above the country you serve.”

@chewitty mused: “Too late! Politics is a waste of time these days, everywhere you look. Something seismic needs to happen to rebalance things in favour of the common man!”

#STRICTLYFINAL

The Strictly Come Dancing grand final 2019 sees favourites Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse lift the Glitterball Trophy. An enthusiastic @ danwootton tweeted: “He was a replacement dancer. But from his first moment strutting his stuff @kelvin_fletcher was the obvious champion. With the exceptional @Otimabuse of course.”

@elliot_gonzalez agreed: “Wow!!! Huge congratulations to Kelvin and Oti. They have been superb from week one. And Oti has finally won Strictly! Very deserving winners.”

@davidpkidd concurred: “Quite simply, that was the winner’s dance.”

An excited @ mrchrisaddison commented: “I would happily let Craig Revel Horwood run the country!” Though @kmccrae criticised: “How does Craig find fault with everyone except Karim? He has made mistakes and still he’s given him 10s. This should have been four 10s.”
