His Excellency Mr. Mohammad Jaafar Bakr Haidar Al-sadr was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Iraq to the Court of St. James’s. Mrs. Nahida Melhem was also received by Her Majesty.
Her Excellency Ms. Catherine Colonna was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the French Republic to the Court of St. James’s. Sir Simon Mcdonald (Permanent Under-secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present. The Queen held an Evening Reception at Buckingham Palace for the Diplomatic Corps at which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were present.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Admiral Sir George Zambellas (formerly First Sea Lord, Chief of the Naval Staff, First and Principal Naval Aide-de-camp, Commanderin-chief Fleet and Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Vice Admiral Sir Donald Gosling (formerly
Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom) which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were present at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Vice Admiral Sir Donald Gosling (formerly Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom) which was held in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, today.

Army Air Corps, received Lieutenant Colonel Robin Melling upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 2nd Regiment and Lieutenant Colonel Huw Law upon assuming the appointment, and Colonel Edward Butterworth upon assuming his appointment as Commanding Officer Aviation Reconnaissance Force.
The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Soil Association, received Mrs. Helen Browning (Chief Executive).
His Royal Highness subsequently attended the presentation of the interfaith Bridge Award in London. The Duchess of Cornwall, Royal Colonel 4th Battalion The Rifles, this afternoon received General Patrick Sanders (Colonel Commandant, The Rifles Regiment).
