#TERRYJONES

Tributes have been paid to Monty Python star Terry Jones, who died at the age of 77, after having lived with dementia.

@slinger_lfc said: “Through Python, and before that Do Not Adjust Your Set, Terry Jones helped give people of my age an incalculably valuable gift: comedy our parents couldn’t understand.”

@profmikelarkin posted: “He’s not deceased, he’s just stunned. End of era and much sadness, but he leaves a legacy that still makes us smile.”

@bacchaneury wondered: “So will Jesus wag his finger at him and call him a very naughty boy when he gets to the pearly gates?”

@Bulletproof_mod commented: “It’s painful to see all these people, actors and musicians from my generation passing. They will all be missed.”

@bumcloud said: “It’s one thing to be successful and famous, it’s another thing altogether to be loved but to stay loved until the day you die – that’s something most of us could only dream of. He’ll be making someone, somewhere chuckle for centuries. If we make it that long . . .” @ABIANDTOMS added: “Because of Terry I’m unable to see a piano stool without seeing him in a glorious state of undress and turning round to smile at the camera.”

#PMQS

The SNP’S Westminster leader, Ian Blackford, accused the prime minster of making an “unprecedented attack” on devolution in the UK at PMQS.

@bateyboy1 said: “Brexit was a Uk-wide vote. Frankly, it’s irrelevant what the Scottish, Welsh and NI assemblies vote for, especially when they are intent on wrecking Brexit.”

@montgomery_eoin posted: “Theres absolutely nothing ‘manufactured’ about the distaste of the Scottish people for Johnson, his deal, and his utter contempt for us and our parliament.”

@stu_pot_1 commented: “The SNP did not get the majority of votes in Scotland. They do not speak for the majority of the Scottish people. Ian Blackford is the one that ‘doesn’t get it’ I look forward to seeing him join in the party in Parliament Square on the 31st.”

@jimmytabuk said: “Another tour de force from Johnson in not providing a coherent answer to any question not provided by the Tory whips.”
