-

Burnley piled the pressure on under-fire Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar S olskjaer with a 2- 0 victor y, their first top-flight win at Old Trafford since 1962.

United b egan the night 30 points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool and the home fans loudly voiced their displeasure at another demoralising loss.

Burnley took the lead six minutes before half-time as B en Mee jumped highest to no d the ball down for Chris Wood to apply a first-time finish. And the visitors doubled their lead in stunning fashion in the second period as Jay Rodriguez rifled a ferocious strike off the underside of the bar from just inside the area.

Ayoze Perez scored twice as Leicester City enjoyed an emphatic 4-1 victor y over West Ham United, but the Foxes also lost Jamie Vardy to an apparent hamstring injury.

Vardy limped off just before half-time at the King Power Stadium with his side 1-0 ahead thanks to Harvey

Barnes ’24 th-minute opener, with the winger then setting up Ricardo Pereira for the second. West Ham were given a route back into the match five minutes after the inter val when Wilfred Ndidi was adjudged to have bundled S ebastien Haller over in the area and Mark Noble scored from the penalty spot.

However, the home side were given a debatable penalty of their own when Kelechi Iheanacho was deemed to have been brought down by Angelo

Ogbonna and Perez made no mistake from 12 yards. The former Newcastle player then swept home the fourth goal.

Tottenham Hot spur

recorded their first league win of 2020 with a 2-1 victory over bottom side Norwich City.

Dele Alli put Spurs ahead in the 38th minute but the visitors levelled from the penalty spot in the second half through Teemu Pukki. Spurs restored their lead 10 minutes from time as Alli’s deflected cross was nodded in by Heung-min Son.
