that going to work if either large tariffs are applied, or the product sits for days on a quayside somewhere waiting for customs.nobody wants to buy rotten fish!
The Hiker As the European markets have no choice my guess would be that they will pay more and there won’t be any problems with delays as the fish are packed in ice. The EU tried the strong arm “we are bigger than you” with Swiss financial services and the Swiss walked away, the only losers were EU countries. The EU is the ultimate “emperor’s new clothes” as a market – it is big but it ain’t rich, or in good shape. 89 per cent in the latest survey by passenger watchdog Transport Focus.
Great stuff!
Berlin Calling
Congratulations to Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP on this great result for Scotland.

I find this very difficult to believe. The latest fiasco from them is that seats can’t be reserved on trains between Scotland’s cities, because, owing to the very late delivery of their refurbished 40-year-old HSTS (an idiotic idea in the first place), they apparently can’t work out a schedule of what type of train will be on what route at any time. Even for a week in advance? Come on, it was only a few weeks ago that the Scottish Government was forced to acknowledge reality, and conclude that the franchise they awarded had to be terminated early. If there had been genuine improvement news in the pipeline, would they have done so?
Jock Tamson Let’s hope it rises ever higher and stays high.

Scotland’s economy is continuing to grow and global exports are on the rise despite the uncertainty of Brexit, official figures said yesterday.
There is no Brexit uncertainty. We are benefiting already from Brexit.
Andrew Macaulay Despite all their efforts to wreck the economy the SNP have failed.
PRO-EU campaigners plan to hold a rally outside the Scottish Parliament on the day the UK officially ceases to be a member state. Organisers of the Missing EU Already event have promised “speakers, a music light show, a time for reflection, plus anthem singing” when it takes place on Friday at 6pm.
Will there be a corresponding rally in Brussels? Will there be a symbolic light left on for Scotland? Will the Scottish flag appear on EU buildings? Answer: No! The Holyrood Europe Committee was told last week that whilst there had been “goodwill” towards Scotland, that goodwill was fading away. The SNP are far from welcome in the EU and Scotland has never been a member state of the EU. SNP stunts like wildcat referendums or even votes for them, interference in the Catalonia situation and taking the EU to court over Article 50 has placed Scotland in a very poor light in the EU.
Roastin What a pathetic bunch of losers... the economy is doing well and they are too thick to see it.
elle hague Economy doing well? Flatlining, only just avoiding recession and weakest quarter since 2009. Delusional much?
Infamous clarity
