Stevenson denies Raith chance to extend lead

One-time Raith Rovers goalkeeper Ryan Stevenson denied the League 1 title-challengers a win by netting a penalty for Stranraer in a 1-1 draw at blustery Stair Park.

The table-topping Fifers took the lead on 36 minutes when John Baird slotted in with the equaliser coming on 54 minutes.

Brechin led at Albion Rovers through Kieran Inglis’ penalty but Albion won 4-1 thanks to Declan Byrne’s double and Daniel Scally and Scott Roberts goals.
