Fighting on
Nicola Sturgeon said on the BBC’S Andrew Marr Show yesterday that she will lead the SNP into the 2021 Scottish Parliament election and seek to remain First Minister following recent growing speculation about her position.
Please stay FM: we Unionists thank you.you may appreciate just why. Very sad, though, the Scots and Scotland have to suffer.

“Very sad, though, the Scots and Scotland have to suffer” – Meanwhile you support a Tory no-trade deal Brexit which will cost us £70,000m. Hypocrisy.
Pax Vobiscum Oh for Mr Marr to have pulled a sickie and the BBC asked Mr Neil to stand in for him.
Jimm “I will lead the SNP into the next election” ... God help
Scotland then if that is going to be the case.

Nippy will have to dragged out of Bute House; it looks like a FM who loses the public confidence is a liability.

A reminder of the depths to which Scotland has sunk under the crassly incompetent Ms Sturgeon and her crassly incompetent SNP cronies: Scotland’s children die needless deaths as a result of infections caught in hospitals commissioned by the SNP; hospitals commissioned by the SNP remain unopened because of design faults; percentage of patients seen in Scottish accident and emergency departments within a four-hour waiting time target has reached the lowest level on record; ferries commissioned by the SNP rust unfinished on the Clyde.
Ah’m No Bluffin
If she is ruining Scotland then who would do a better job? ... legitimate answers only ...

She actually sounds like a Tory and not a progressive politician. She attained 31% of the vote and gained 80% of the seats. The very system she allegedly despises!

The cracks are showing! Watch your back, Nicola! There are rumblings of discontent within!
Oil”. They have moved on from handing out balloons, badges and other gimmicks to vanity projects which are either over-budget or doomed to failure.
Charlie Duncan With her usual dignity, integrity, honesty and cheerfulness, Nicola Sturgeon dealt with the silliness about her leadership of the Scottish National Party and of our country. prompting fears that the UK government’s hardline immigration approach risks “shutting Scotland off from the rest of the world”.
Here’s the big news from the article – “The fall in EU students numbers could result in more Scottish students getting to university, as both groups fall into the capped ‘funded places’ category. Fewer EU students would mean a higher proportion of Scots students get one of the ‘restricted’ places.” Why is the SNP fighting against it? Seems they are more interested in EU citizens than our own young people.”
Paul Holyrood
Quite. Especially as it was not that long ago the SNP was complaining that English students at Scottish universities were taking places from Scots.
Martin Heath
It’s all about the moneys they generate as stated in this article: “This is not just bad news for our universities, but it’s bad news for our local economies too, that rely on the millions of pounds generated by EU students every year.”
Gavin Beattie More university places for Scottish students. Fantastic news.
Auld Reekie
It is a worrying trend and I would have assumed Brexit to blame, but it appears not if numbers are up in other parts of the UK. So why are they down here? Have the Scots universities been focusing more so on students outwith Europe since they bring in more money?
Callum Macpherson
The SNP insists that EU students will still get free tuition, so why are they not coming? Maybe the SNP has reduced the attraction and value of a Scottish degree just as they reduced the value of Scottish Highers.
