SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford criticised the Prime Minister for rejecting proposals for a Scottish visa system. Mr Johnson refused.

@Commonsenseno1 said: “The PM is absolutely spot on to reject such stupid ideas from the SNP! You should be concentrating on training all the Scots who are currently out of work so they can take up any vacant places.”

@Wildraar asked: “Which state in the world has separate visas for different parts of that state?”

@Georgiethegeek commented: “I had a proud Tory voter say to me yesterday that ‘maybe our nurses will get jobs now’ when I said that the NHS is being hit by EU nationals leaving. She didn’t believe me when I said there weren’t enough nurses to fill the positions.”

@Handicapperbill posted: “This is actually called modern-day slavery. Business owners in Scotland need the cheap Eastern European labour”.

@eyeball 1946 added: “Why do we bother? Why are the Scottish MPS trying to convince the antiscottish Westminster to change course – they’re not interested.”

#PRINCEHARRY

The Earl of Dumbarton asked for delegates at a tourism conference in Edinburgh to address him simply as Harry. The prince was speaking at the Travalyst event being held in the city.

@Hrhkingjohni posted: “Well ‘just. Harry, you’re a wizard . . . Wait, wrong timeline.”

@matthud59 commented: “The Harry formerly known as Prince.”

@julerules78 said: “I’m going with Gary. They’re a dying breed.”

@broadsworde posted: “OK, Barry it is then!”

@Lostvoice3 commented: “If it’s just Harry then he can pay for his own protection and give us our money back.”

@Danbo said: “At least it’s easier to say than his actual name. Henry Charles Albert David Mountbatten-windsor is a bit of a mouthful.”

@Ebinboat said: “If I say Harry people may not know immediately who I’m referring to but if I say Prince Harry everyone will know who I’m talking about.”

Ianmcdo39058904 added: Well done Harry – what a good idea. Who needs titles like Prince, princess, duke etc in this day and age? I’m OK with Queen and King – the rest can do one.”
