Cathcart Associates unveils trio of senior appointments

Rhona Kennedy has been promoted from senior recruitment consultant to principal consultant. She specialises in sourcing software developers to support Scotland’s thriving tech sector and will be responsible for leading the Scottish division of the specialist IT recruitment firm’s operations to help address Scotland’s tech sector skills shortage. In her role as principal consultant and lead for Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the organisation’s renewable energy division, Cathcart Energy, Sabrina Hickl drives recruitment for C-level positions in this sector. Having already seen great success as the first European consultant in the energy division, Hickl will continue to grow her existing team to extend Cathcart’s reach in the lucrative German, Austrian and Swiss renewable energy markets. Sigrid Carstairs has also been appointed as senior recruitment consultant for Scandinavia with Cathcart Energy. Integral in the early development of the company’s presence in Northern Europe, Carstairs will further the Scandinavian expansion of Cathcart’s renewable energy business, offering a full contract and permanent recruitment service across the region.

Massimo Bresciani has taken up the post with CMAC (Continuous Manufacturing and Advanced Crystallisation), which accelerates the adoption of advanced manufacturing solutions for the design, development and production of high-value pharmaceutical products. He will provide leadership to CMAC’S industry engagement, knowledge exchange and research translation activities for industry and academic partners across major programmes, including the flagship EPSRC Future Manufacturing Research Hub.

Within her role at Thorntons, Miller will take a leading role in advising Edinburgh private clients and pursue developing the firm’s offering and growing the department. She grew up in East Lothian before gaining both her degree and diploma in legal practice at Aberdeen University.
