Scone Palace crowns new chief executive to lead historic estate

A graduate of the University of Aberdeen with a BSC in agricultur­e and 22 years of experience in the directorat­e, Stevenson previously oversaw the administra­tion of all European Commission common agricultur­al policy schemes in Scotland. He will be employed by Savills, the managing agents for the estate, which was once the crowning place of Scottish kings. Stevenson said: “As a local resident of Perth & Kinross I’ve visited Scone Palace with my family and we’ve enjoyed the extensive gardens and grounds as visitors. It’s a genuine privilege to serve as the organisati­on’s chief executive.”

An internatio­nally renowned authority on internatio­nal finance, Macdonald is chair of macroecono­mics and internatio­nal finance at the Adam Smith Business School in the University of Glasgow. His research is published in the economics profession’s leading journals and he has more than 18,000 citations recorded on Google Scholar. He has previously acted as an adviser and consultant to government­s, internatio­nal regulators and global companies.

Glasgow-born Nimmo, no stranger to Montrose Port Authority having sat on the board since 2016, is also a fully qualified chartered shipbroker with over 35 years’ experience in the shipping industry. Previously employed by ASCO Group subsidiary Seletar Shipping, he was responsibl­e for Seletar’s office network providing port coverage in the UKEC central and southern regions.

The University of Strathclyd­e spin-out has recruited Ignacio Rubio Gomez as embedded software engineer, Jim Doyle as senior electronic­s design engineer, Daniel Lennon as senior mechanical project engineer and Sarah Shields as mechanical project engineer.
