#WILLIAM&KATE

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge video-called the children of key workers at a school down south. The royal couple also thanked the teachers for keeping the school open during the coronavirus pandemic.

@Brown666w said: “Lots of words from this dysfunctional family but no hard cash and no offer to open up their taxpayerfunded homes, palaces and castles to the NHS, should workers need to isolate/stay over or for key workers and the homeless?”

@joenineteen70 commented: “Bet that made them happy and cheered them all up.”

@davidstalane posted: “Next time I hope a kid asks them if they are worried about running out of money.”

@Cookstation said: “These kids will never forget this. Lovely.”

@k13r0n commented: “I love how Kate just casually drops ‘I’m Catherine and this is William’ when she’s introducing them both.”

@Jamessu12329394 posted: “What a nice thing to do. I’m sure that will be a real encouragement to those children.”

@Rico89z commented: “How can anyone think this is relevant in today’s society? Kings and queens should have been banished to the chessboard a long time ago.”

@Eleanorto said: “If they actually care they can do something meaningful, like giving half of their fortune to charity.”

#JKROWLING

Doctors dealing with coronavirus said they were “uplifted” to have a message of support from JK Rowling when they named areas of their hospital after Harry Potter school houses. The author said she had “never been prouder”. @Iainmellis1 asked: “Does it have a ‘room of requirement’ with unlimited PPE supplies?”

@jamessmyth17 said: “If you are going to give a hospital room a name should it not be someone relevant to the health profession?”
