Travel checks

-

Commuters could be asked to check their temperature at home before travelling under plans to ease the coronavirus lockdown being considered by the Government.

And just how many do you think will do that every day? Some people need to get real; get a grip on reality, advisers.

John Stewart I thought a thermometer only shows when you have symptoms. It would be better if we had the test to show we’ve had the virus and a green code on our phones like some counties. We could still pick the virus up on our hands when outside. So hand washing, masks and gloves may be the new normal to keep others safe.

Helene Kerr The trouble with the tests is they don’t work that well unless you are already showing symptoms.

Duncan Sim

If we’re contagious without symptoms how does a temperature check help?

Leslie Arthur They don’t, it’s just a way to control/check on the population.

Jonno Ross A rise in temperature can be put down to numerous conditions and not just Covid-19; also, how are you supposed to prove you have checked, let alone buy a thermometer as you cannot get them anywhere just now?

Liz Rennie

Are they delivering every household with a thermometer?

Pauline Downie

Doubt that very much. Gloves and home-made masks would need regular hot washes. And the ‘mask’ only helps others in case you have it with no symptoms! Pity the govt can’t give everyone at least a few masks.

George Ewing

Like that’s gonna work, if people want to go out they will regardless.

Martin Adams I should imagine the price of thermometers will be sky high now.
