Veteran commercial litigation lawyer joins Levy & Mcrae

He acted for Pan Am in Scotland in all of the issues arising out of the Lockerbie disaster and in many cases arising out of tragic events in the North Sea including Piper Alpha. He was one of the first group of solicitor advocates in Scotland and holds appointments including sheriff – part time. He said: “I have known [Levy & Mcrae] and worked closely with them in some complex cases over four decades and against them quite often!” Chairman William Macreath said: “[Anderson’s] wealth of experience is highly regarded within legal circles and beyond. He will be a huge asset to the firm and to our clients.”

He will be based in the firm’s Glasgow office and joins from Morton Fraser where he has been a partner since 2006. He specialises in development work, investment sales and purchases, property finance and leasing arrangements across various sectors. Deepa Deb, head of Dentons’ UK real estate practice, commented: “We have grown our real estate teams for investment, development and regeneration and hotel transactions over the last few years and we are excited about consolidating that growth further with the addition of Brian to our team.”
