As Scotland and England diverge, the road to independen­ce is open, says former SNP Minister Kenny Macaskill.

This is more proof (Kenny this time) that Indy hasn’t evolved.

Calum the Mackenzie Neither FM or PM has been hapless or flawless, it matters little which way round you put it. I must ask the learned and wise Mr Macaskill why he has not factored in Scotland’s likely bankruptcy in a forced separation at this time?

In the middle of a global crisis that can only be fully dealt with internatio­nally nationalis­ts claim it makes a case for seperation. There is no rational counterarg­ument that can reach such as Mr Macaskill.

What a stupid thing to come away with at this time. We will be absolutely broke, we had to have furlough money paid by Westminste­r and considerin­g a huge part of our economy is tourism it will take ages for that to be able to pay tax. The rest of our economy is small and, just as a reminder, parts of the west is, according to Channel 4 some time ago, the most impoverish­ed in the United Kingdom. It doesn’t bode well. It just gives us some idea if this is the quality of a future government in Scotland.
