Comedian & author Olaf Falafel
What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?
Another striped top – I own hundreds of them.
What are you addicted to buying?
In all seriousness (not really, this next bit is a joke) I’m addicted to smoking jackets – I’m on 20 a day – I’ve tried the patches but, if anything, they just make them more fashionable.
Best ever bargain?
A pair of metallic gold Converse high-tops. They only had one pair of size 12s left so they were reduced to £6.
Who has great style?
My daughters have very unique styles. One looks like a unicorn spewed rainbows on her and the other looks like she got kicked out of a junior punk band.
Name your favourite high street shop.
I’m a big fan of Pound Stores – not so much for clothing, more for comedy props.
Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?
When I was in my early teens I was big into American football and my go-to outfit was a Minnesota Vikings T-shirt/ cap/jacket combo. I also had prescription glasses, braces on my teeth and wore shorts with long socks. Look up nerd in any early 1990s dictionary and a picture of me will be there.
What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?
A denim shirt that I’ve had for around 15 years. It really should get chucked out because it’s so frayed and holey but I just can’t let it go. When the time finally comes I think I’ll give it a Viking funeral in our local duck pond. ■
