#MRNOBODY

MP Douglas Ross, who quit as Under Secretary of State for Scotland over the Cummings controversy, has allegedly been described by a No.10 Downing Street source as “a Mr Nobody”.

@Macheath1 said: “Ouch! No surprise that a government with no moral integrity dismisses as ‘a Mr Nobody’ someone who resigns because he does have moral integrity. Bravo @Douglas4moray!”

@Pacarnahan added: “Apparently government sources are now trying to tarnish the reputation of the recently resigned Douglas Ross MP by calling him ‘a Mr Nobody’. That’ll be why you made him Under Secretary of State for Scotland then, you witless goons.”

@childofalba tweeted:

“1. PM promoted this Mr. Nobody as a minister. What does this say about his judgement? 2. And what does it say about the importance of Scotland to UKG that he’d appoint a Mr. Nobody in ‘important’ Scottish Minister role?”

@Tomlondon6 said: “If you disagree with this regime you are ‘a Mr Nobody’ – eloquently contemptuous of the rest of us”

@colken16 tweeted: “Angry at someone down south calling Douglas Ross Mr Nobody. That’s our job.”

#DOMINICCUMMINGS

Yesterday’s press conference dominated Twitter in the UK. Calls by Tory MPS to move on did not go down well.

@Richle5 said: “Another patronising call to the electorate to leave the admitted guilt of Cummings behind. The corrupttories are completely deaf to the nation. That’s an elite (don’t play by the common man’s rules) party for you.”

@Femi_sorry said: “Imagine basing your entire defence on how concerned you are for your child’s safety and including the story about how you used your kid as a crash-test dummy when you thought you might be too blind to drive?”

@toryboypierce tweeted: “Police officers trying to enforce lockdown are encountering the same argument from people: if it’s good enough for #dominiccummings it’s good enough for me.”

@Moderateranter said: “The #Dominiccummings Affair proves that like the Wizard of Oz, they have no hearts, no brains and there’s only one person pulling the strings in @10Downingstreet and it isn’t @Borisjohnson.”
