#PUBSOPEN

Pub and restaurant customers could be asked to submit their names and addresses to enter as a way to allow venues to reopen, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said.

@Iamrobin was enthusiastic: “Too right I would give my name. I’d walk about with a name tag on if it meant getting a proper pint.”

@Graystokes900 was not so keen: “No. I know the reason will be that if they find that one punter out of say a hundred tests positive everyone will be told to isolate or get tested even though the were nowhere near them.”

@Gaudd said: “Normally a name and address is given after being in the pub.”

@Mrmattdonlan commented: “Not a fan of the idea, even less so if you were to have to book in advance. Just seems like another stick with which to beat smaller pubs.” @lennie_lou posted: “I’d give my name and address –and possibly my left arm also.” @edinburgh_75 posted: “Everyone should have ID with them in case they need to be traced.”

@S24NAP commented: “If that’s the rules and you know beforehand, then accept it – or don’t go in.”

#DJOKOVIC

Novak Djokovic has tested positive for coronavirus. It comes after three other tennis players tested positive after playing at Djokovic’s Adria Tour competition.

@Philip_rj89 said: “He’s brought the game into disrepute with his selfish, reckless actions. This was a totally avoidable situation, but Djokovic’s hubris and ego got in the way.”

@4Khazzard posted: “Could be the end of his playing days if it’s serious.”

@alexblackmore added: “I think that is the literal definition of karma.”
