In loving memory. Beloved father of Mrs Carolyn Casali-bain, father in-law of Dr Mark Casali and grandfather of Theo Casali-bain.

Brian, originally from Leith, trained as a Chartered Accountant in Edinburgh, joining the profession in 1963. He enjoyed a successful career in the Textile industry as managing director of a leading Scottish knitwear company which traded globally and was awarded the Queens award for Export Achievement in 1982 under his charge. Brian was a big rugby fan having enjoyed playing as a young man, he was a regular at Murrayfield internationals and the Melrose sevens. The latter part of his life was devoted to his muchloved late wife Margaret who sadly suffered a severely debilitating illness in the late 1980's. Brian lovingly cared for her for many years until she died in 2005. Brian also contributed a lot to the charity Vocal, which provides invaluable support to carers. He will be remembered as a stoic, proud, big hearted thoroughly Scottish Scotsman. We will cherish the memories the 3 of us shared with him in Italy and Bavaria in the later years of his life. We shared a mutual love of these places. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend his funeral as we were not made aware of his death. We shall therefore organise our own private memorial for him when lockdown restrictions have eased off. Anyone who remembers Brian is welcome to join us to celebrate his memory fondly. Please contact his family through the following email address for further details lafamigliacasali@gmail.com, we look forward to hearing from you.
