Prime Minister Boris Johnson claimed at PMQS that there was no border between Scotland and England.

@Gerryhassan wrote: “Yet again the lack of knowledge of the UK & British history is absolutely stark: There always has been a legal border between Scotland & England pre-1707 & post1707.”

@wordamentalist asked: “If there is no border between Scotland and England, then who the (heck) does Scots law apply to?”

@Bobgooday said: “Given that said border is around half a billion years old (formed when two continents collided, finally closing the Iapetus Ocean), it might qualify as the oldest land border on Earth.”

@eddireader tweeted: “So Bozo the Covid beater has said there is no border between Scotland and England – that’s what we get for leaving the door open... Can we now practice Scottish law in Manchester?”

@Francesfoxroy said: “We know he is being silly, he knows he is being silly. Just don’t listen to him! It’s a complete waste of time! ...there is no border between Scotland and England? What utter tosh.” @mondeons said: “Are you mental? Do you have no idea where Scotland ends and England starts? You do know there is a Scottish Government? A Scottish football league? What do you think separates Scotland and England geographically?”

The American Blondie star turned 75 while the British leading lady reached an amazing 104.

@Psychelizard said: “It’s still hard to believe (but still wicked cool) that some of the greatest punk stars, Debbie Harry, Patti Smith, Andy Summers, were all flower people in the 60’s. Guarantee if Jim Morrison lived on he’d be getting into punk late-70’s.”

@80slegend wrote: “Happy 75th Birthday to Debbie Harry, an icon of our time.”

@Altrafilmicamx tweeted: “Last remaining cast member from ‘Gone With The Wind’ (1939) turns 104!”

@rumbatwo wrote: “Melanie from GWTW is still beautiful at 104 years old! What an inspiration she is to actresses.”

@mighrhodes said: “Happy 104th Birthday to Dame Olivia de Haviland, DBE, the oldest person to have been made a Dame (when 101).”

Separatism is an aspiration. independence is that aspiration made a fact.
