Man charged over murder attempt

A man has appeared in court charged with an attempted murder in Fife.

Officers were flagged down to a 42-year-old man lying outside a property in Methil Brae, Leven, at about 5:15pm on Monday. Police said he was found with stab wounds to his leg and is in a critical but stable condition at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Kenneth Sparling, 44, from Fife, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court yesterday accused of attempted murder in connection with the incident.
